Hands-On Mechanical Engineer Working on Systems That Matter

Wareham, MA. July 2015

Product development and manufacturing experience across regulated medical devices and field hardware—focused on reliability, ownership, and long-term impact.

I work across the full lifecycle of physical hardware—from development and manufacturing through validation and sustaining.

My background in high-volume medical device design and production is complemented by hands-on marine and field hardware work beyond my professional roles.

What Motivates Me

I’ve always been curious about how things work and drawn to the process of making and fixing things. As a kid, that meant taking things apart (and putting them back together), asking too many questions, and spending hours outside—exploring, building, and flipping over rocks and seaweed to discover what was underneath. I was equally interested in tools and construction as I was in the natural world around me.

That curiosity carried through school and into my career. Mechanical engineering felt like a natural fit because it combined problem-solving, hands-on work, and the satisfaction of building systems that actually do something. At the same time, a love for the outdoors and an early interest in the ocean led me to minor in Environmental Science, with the hope of eventually applying engineering skills toward work with a positive impact.

Outside of work, I spend much of my time boating, fishing, surfing, snowboarding, and staying active outdoors.  I’m also a volunteer aquarist and educator at Save the Bay Aquarium, where I help care for marine life, teach visitors about local ecosystems, and design fixtures to support daily operations.

Together, these experiences shape what motivates me professionally: understanding how systems truly work, taking responsibility for their long-term performance, and contributing reliable work that has meaningful impact.
